A DB backup is strongly recommended prior upgrading.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Upgrade Veeam Backup &amp; Replication<\/h2>\n<p>Download <a href=\"http:\/\/www.veeam.com\/downloads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Availability Suite v8<\/a> from Veeam website and run the installer.<\/p>\n<p>Since the installation wizard detects\u00a0an existing Veeam installation in the system, the <strong>upgrade option<\/strong> is shown. In this example, Backup Enterprise Manager doesn't have the upgrade option since it is <strong>not installed<\/strong> in the system, otherwise it should be upgraded first.<\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>upgrade<\/strong> to start the wizard.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: block; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"veeambrupgrade02\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/veeambrupgrade02.jpg\" alt=\"veeambrupgrade02\" width=\"600\" height=\"466\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The installation wizard starts. Since the application is not installed in my lab, the upgrade option is not shown.
