Since the application is <strong>licensed per host<\/strong>, from this screen you manage\u00a0also the licensing of VM Backup. Select <strong>Schedules<\/strong> tab to manage Schedule\u00a0Groups.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15548 size-large\" title=\"altarovmbackupsetup20\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/altarovmbackupsetup20-600x360.jpg\" alt=\"altarovmbackupsetup20\" width=\"600\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By default two groups are <strong>created by the system<\/strong>\u00a0that\u00a0can be used, edited\u00a0or\u00a0deleted. VMs not belonging to any group policy are shown in red. When complete click <strong>Save Changes<\/strong> at the bottom of the screen to save the configuration.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15105 size-large\" title=\"altarovmbackupsetup35\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/altarovmbackupsetup35-600x251.jpg\" alt=\"altarovmbackupsetup35\" width=\"600\" height=\"251\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reverse Delta<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.altaro.com\/vm-backup\/reversedelta.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reverse Delta<\/a> is a <strong>proprietary Altaro technology<\/strong>\u00a0that enables the VM Backup\u00a0to keep only the changes between each version of a changed VHD (or VHDX) file and another saving disk space on the storage.\u00a0In addition only\u00a0changed blocks in a VHD file are transferred when there is already a full backup available on the backup location, making <strong>incremental backups<\/strong> much faster.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to other deduplication technologies, with\u00a0Reverse Delta the latest version of a file is always made <strong>available in its entirety<\/strong> and not as a delta file that needs\u00a0to be rebuilt from an older version and one or more delta files. Latest version of a file can be accessed directly from the\u00a0backup drive without having to rebuild the file from delta files.
