The process will restore the VM to the specified location <strong>without overwriting<\/strong> the original VM but it creates a <strong>cloned VM<\/strong> running side by side with the original\u00a0VM.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15264 size-large\" title=\"altarovmbackuprestore03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/altarovmbackuprestore03-600x357.jpg\" alt=\"altarovmbackuprestore03\" width=\"600\" height=\"357\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Choose the <strong>location\u00a0<\/strong>where the backup is stored. If the VM is restored on <strong>same network<\/strong>\u00a0of the original VM, thick the <strong>Disable network card<\/strong> option to avoid IP conflicts.\u00a0When done,\u00a0click backups<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Sandbox Restore<\/strong> feature allows the administrators to test and verify the integrity of backups with two\u00a0options available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verify Backup Folders<\/li>\n<li>Perform Full Test Restore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Verify Backup Folders<\/h4>\n<p>To verify the integrity of data stored on the backup, the <strong>Verify Backup Folder<\/strong> is the option to select. This option doesn't attach the virtual machine to the hypervisor but simply check if data stored in the <strong>backup are corrupted<\/strong>.
