Recently acquired by\u00a0Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Trilead\u00a0released VM Explorer 6.1 bringing new features like copy of scheduled tasks, support for VDDK 6.0.2 and an improved FLR.<\/p>\n

The new release includes also a\u00a0re-branding<\/strong> of VM Explorer with an enhanced web interface.<\/p>\n

VM Explorer 6.1 introduces several new feature and enhancements:<\/p>\n

Brand-new HPE Web Interface<\/h4>\n

The web interface has been reskinned and improved providing additional features.<\/p>\n

Export\/Import config file<\/h4>\n

It's now possible to export\/import the software configuration.<\/p>\n

Multiple file download for File-Level Restore<\/h4>\n

It's now possible to select multiple files to be downloaded at once in a single archive.<\/p>\n

From the Dashboard select\u00a0Management >\u00a0Backup Explorer<\/strong>\u00a0menu, right click the VM backup with the files to restore and select Locate Files<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

Select files to retrieve, right click the\u00a0selection then select Download<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

Added the capability to clone with few clicks an entire Scheduled Task<\/strong> as well as to copy a single Task item into the same or a different Scheduled Task.<\/p>\n

Support for new VD Services VDDK 6.0.2<\/h4>\n

Added support for the latest version of the VMware Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK).<\/p>\n

Split Tape Backups<\/h4>\n

Larger VM backups can be easily copied to your tape library, being split into multiple media when necessary. Improved efficiency of tapes using all\u00a0available space to store backup.<\/p>\n

Install VM Backup<\/h2>\n

Download from Trilead website the software and run the installer. Click Next<\/strong> to start the installation wizard.<\/p>\n

Leave default location and click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
