Opvizor released a\u00a0real-time Performance Analyzer 3.0 for vSphere, a product to get analysis of your virtual infrastructure and instantly identify infrastructure performance and scalability problems in real-time.<\/p>\n

The new product comes\u00a0as a standalone product<\/strong> and it is delivered as a VMware OVF Template. In addition to\u00a0Performance Analyzer, Opvizor offers VMware Health Analyzer<\/a>\u00a0 and\u00a0Snapwatcher<\/a>\u00a0to analyze and maintain\u00a0your virtual infrastructure performance.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Install\u00a0Performance Analyzer<\/h2>\n

From\u00a0Opvizor website download Performance Analyzer 3.0 for vSphere<\/a>\u00a0and extract the ZIP\u00a0archive.<\/p>\n

From VMware Web Client, right click the cluster or datacenter name and select Deploy OVF Template<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

Click Browse<\/strong> button and select the .ovf file<\/strong>\u00a0extracted\u00a0from the archive just downloaded. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click Next<\/strong> to continue.<\/p>\n

Give the appliance a Name<\/strong> and select a folder or datacenter then click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select the virtual disk format<\/strong> and the storage<\/strong> then click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The IP allocation<\/strong> is automatically set as Static - Manual<\/strong>. Click Next<\/strong> to continue.<\/p>\n

Optionally enable Power on after deployment<\/strong> option and click Finish<\/strong> to start installation.<\/p>\n

Configure the VA<\/h2>\n

Once the deployment has been completed,\u00a0log into the console<\/strong>\u00a0using the following credentials:<\/p>\n

username: admin<\/em>
\npassword: VMware123<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Change the IP configuration<\/strong> typing 5<\/strong> then press\u00a0Enter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Enter the network parameters<\/strong> and the hostname<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Enter Y<\/strong> to update network settings.<\/p>\n

When the network settings has been applied, press Enter<\/strong> to reboot the system.<\/p>\n

Using your favorite browser, type the address\u00a0http:\/\/<IP_Address_DNS_name>\/admin<\/strong> to access the Opvizor\u00a0web admin console<\/strong>. Enter same credentials\u00a0as above and click Login<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the Overview<\/strong>\u00a0screen you have the options to Add<\/strong>\u00a0a purchased license (leaving this field blank, you have a 30-day trial<\/strong> license to test the product) and to perform the upgrade of the appliance. Using the Browse<\/strong> button select the upgrade file<\/strong> downloaded from Opvizor website then click Upload<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select Infrastructure > VMware<\/strong> tab and click Add new<\/strong> on the right pane to specify the vCenter Server.<\/p>\n

Enter the Host<\/strong> and the credentials<\/strong> of your vCenter Server then click Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The specified vCenter Server is displayed in the Host's list. Click Log out<\/strong> to exit the admin console.<\/p>\n

From the Dashboard<\/strong> select Admin >\u00a0Global Orgs<\/strong>\u00a0to configure your organization and users.<\/p>\n

Click Edit<\/strong>\u00a0to modify the organization's name.<\/p>\n

Type the Name<\/strong> of your organization then click Update<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The new organization's name is now set.<\/p>\n

Click Edit<\/strong> to modify an existing user or click Add new user<\/strong> to configure a new account.<\/p>\n

Edit user's details<\/strong> and change the Password<\/strong> for security reasons\u00a0then click Update<\/strong>\u00a0to save settings.<\/p>\n

From main Dashboard<\/strong> you can analyze your environment selecting the available statistics through the\u00a0Dashboard<\/strong>\u00a0drop-down menu.<\/p>\n

VMware Statistics: Overall Infrastructure<\/h4>\n

From the drop-down menu select VMware Statistics: Overall Infrastructure<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0see your complete environment<\/strong> including vCenter, Datacenter and Cluster.<\/p>\n

Selecting the VMware Capacity Planning: Cluster<\/strong>\u00a0dashboard you can do some capacity planning on your environment\u00a0getting information about the current load<\/strong> and the VMs that can still be deployed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Selecting a different scale, you can adjust the resources<\/strong> available in the cluster.
