Access the <strong>backup set<\/strong>\u00a0stored offsite, right click the VM to process and select the <strong>restore type<\/strong> to perform.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18578 size-full\" title=\"veeamcloudconnect24\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/veeamcloudconnect24.jpg\" alt=\"veeamcloudconnect24\" width=\"518\" height=\"460\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Enable WAN Accelerator<\/h2>\n<p>WAN Accelerator is a built-in feature of Backup &amp; Replication that\u00a0<strong>reduces the amount of data transferred<\/strong>\u00a0across the WAN by using <strong>caching and data compression<\/strong> techniques. A\u00a0WAN accelerator works by caching duplicate files so they can be referenced in global cache instead of having to be sent across the WAN again.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18579 size-full\" title=\"veeamcloudconnect25\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/veeamcloudconnect25.jpg\" alt=\"veeamcloudconnect25\" width=\"543\" height=\"255\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This solution <strong>doesn't require<\/strong> any appliance to deploy,\u00a0agents to install\u00a0or changes in the network infrastructure. To use the WAN accelerator capability <strong>both sides<\/strong>\u00a0must have WAN Accelerator feature enabled.<\/p>\n<p>WAN Acceleration feature is available in Veeam Backup &amp; Replication <strong>Enterprise Plus Edition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Enable Service Provider's WAN accelerator<\/h4>\n<p>Go in touch with your service provider to <strong>enable WAN Accelerator<\/strong> feature.\u00a0Once the activation has been confirmed, under <strong>Backup Infrastructure<\/strong> section select <strong>Service providers<\/strong>, right click the\u00a0configured service provider and select <strong>Rescan<\/strong>\u00a0option.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18602 size-full\" title=\"veeamcloudconnect26\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/veeamcloudconnect26.jpg\" alt=\"veeamcloudconnect26\" width=\"567\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Checking the available\u00a0resources, WAN Acceleration is now set as <strong>Enabled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-18603 size-large\" title=\"veeamcloudconnect27\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/veeamcloudconnect27-600x421.jpg\" alt=\"veeamcloudconnect27\" width=\"600\" height=\"421\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Configure WAN accelerator in Veeam<\/h4>\n<p>Access the <strong>Backup Infrastructure<\/strong> section and select <strong>WAN Accelerators<\/strong>. Click <strong>Finish<\/strong> to save the configuration.
