Hot add mode requiring that the backup proxy itself is an encrypted VM<\/li>\n<li><b>VMFS6 support<\/b>\u00a0- added support for the new VMFS version<\/li>\n<li><b>New guest interaction API support<\/b>\u00a0-\u00a0added the support for the new vSphere API for guest interaction<\/li>\n<li><b>New VM tag API support<\/b>\u00a0- with the new API introduced in vSphere 6.5, advanced backup policies based on tags are supported<\/li>\n<li><b>NBD compression<\/b>\u00a0- VDDK 6.5 adds ability to enable native NBD traffic compression. Create under <b>HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Veeam\\Veeam Backup and Replication<\/b>\u00a0registry key the (DWORD) <i>VMwareNBDCompressionLevel<\/i>\u00a0with value from 0 (no compression) to 3 (best compression)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Backup copy<\/h4>\n<p>Improved performance\u00a0with large number of VMs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Self-service portal for vCloud Director<\/h4>\n<p><b>Side by side restore<\/b>\u00a0- Tenants are now able to restore VMs and vApps without overwriting the original object by selecting <strong>Keep restore<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Direct SAN improvements<\/h4>\n<p>Improved Direct SAN transport selection on backup proxies with <strong>disabled MPIO<\/strong>, added support for parallel restore through multiple Direct SAN backup proxies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Upgrade version 9.5 to Update 1<\/h2>\n<p>Before installing the update, make sure you are running version <strong>9.5.0.580, 9.5.0.711 or 9.5.0.802<\/strong>.\u00a0To display current version, go to <b>Help &gt; About<\/b> in Veeam console.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19883 size-full\" title=\"veeam95upd1released03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/veeam95upd1released03.jpg\" alt=\"veeam95upd1released03\" width=\"450\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Prior installing the update, <strong>reboot the server<\/strong> to clear any locks on the product files and <strong>disable the backup jobs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19884 size-large\" title=\"veeam95upd1released04\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/veeam95upd1released04-600x439.jpg\" alt=\"veeam95upd1released04\" width=\"600\" height=\"439\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Download the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veeam.com\/download_add_packs\/vmware-esx-backup\/kb2222\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Veeam Backup &amp; Replication 9.5 Update 1<\/a>\u00a0from Veeam website and run the installer.
