The appliance\u00a0shows the error \"<em>Failed to start File System Check<\/em>\" and it's stuck in <strong>Emergency Mode<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20958 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error02\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error02-600x321.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error02\" width=\"600\" height=\"321\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To fix this error run the command:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"># fsck \/dev\/sda3<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20959 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error03-600x80.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error03\" width=\"600\" height=\"80\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Answer <strong>yes<\/strong> to all questions about repairs, inodes and fixing issues.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20960 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error04\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error04-600x668.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error04\" width=\"600\" height=\"668\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After fixing all detected issues, reboot the VCSA by selecting <strong>Actions &gt; Power &gt; Reset<\/strong>\u00a0option from the console.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20961 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error05\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error05-600x184.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error05\" width=\"600\" height=\"184\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to confirm.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20962 size-full\" title=\"vcsa65error06\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error06.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error06\" width=\"550\" height=\"185\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After rebooting you may experience another error related to Network Service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Failed to start Network Service<\/h2>\n<p>Another issue you can experience <strong>during the boot process<\/strong> is the \"<em>Failed to start Network Service<\/em>\" error.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20963 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error07\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error07-600x200.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error07\" width=\"600\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Type\u00a0the <strong>root password<\/strong> and launch the <strong>BASH shell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Command&gt; shell<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20964 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error08\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error08-600x176.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error08\" width=\"600\" height=\"176\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Run the command:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"># fsck \/dev\/mapper\/log_vg-log<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20965 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error09\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error09-600x80.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error09\" width=\"600\" height=\"80\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Answer <strong>yes<\/strong>\u00a0to all questions in order to fix all detected errors.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20966 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error10\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error10-600x740.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error10\" width=\"600\" height=\"740\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After rebooting the VCSA, the system boots successfully.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20967 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error11\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error11-600x94.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error11\" width=\"600\" height=\"94\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Accessing the vCenter Server from the preferred browser, the appliance is now up and running.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-20969 size-large\" title=\"vcsa65error12\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/vcsa65error12-600x391.jpg\" alt=\"vcsa65error12\" width=\"600\" height=\"391\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So far the new\u00a0VCSA 6.5 didn't satisfy me because it crashes too often and it is not so robust as the Windows-based vCenter.
