Failover Clusters\u00a0are used in Hyper-V to improve the <strong>efficiency and the availability<\/strong> of the virtual infrastructure starting the VMs in a different cluster node in case of one cluster node failure.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21136 size-large\" title=\"nakivo71released03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/nakivo71released03-600x326.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo71released03\" width=\"600\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<p>VMs deployed in the cluster can be <strong>live moved<\/strong> between nodes manually or through the <strong>Microsoft\u2019s System Center Virtual Machine Manager<\/strong> (SCVMM) without interrupting the service and to <strong>balance the load<\/strong> between nodes.<\/p>\n<p>Version 7.1 can now protect a specific VM within the cluster <strong>regardless\u00a0on which cluster<\/strong> node the VM is located.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Container protection<\/h4>\n<p>With the\u00a0<strong>Container Protection<\/strong> feature, an entire Hyper-V Failover Cluster can be added to a backup or replication job assuring the protection of the VMs running in the cluster.
