Click <strong>Close<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21728 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws10\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws10-600x384.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws10\" width=\"600\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To get the Access keys, click the just created user.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21729 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws11\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws11-600x241.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws11\" width=\"600\" height=\"241\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select <strong>Security credentials<\/strong> tab and click the <strong>Create access key<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21730 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws12\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws12-600x443.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws12\" width=\"600\" height=\"443\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Write down the <strong>Access key ID<\/strong> and the <strong>Secret access key<\/strong> we need later to setup StarWind.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21731 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws13\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws13-600x308.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws13\" width=\"600\" height=\"308\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Create Amazon S3 Bucket<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To store the backup files we need to create an <strong>S3 Bucket<\/strong>,\u00a0a logical unit of storage in AWS object storage service used to store objects.<\/p>\n<p>Select <strong>S3<\/strong> under <strong>Storage<\/strong> to proceed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21732 size-full\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws14\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws14.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws14\" width=\"469\" height=\"469\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click on <strong>Create bucket<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21733 size-full\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws15\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws15.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws15\" width=\"528\" height=\"248\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Type a <strong>Bucket name<\/strong> and select a <strong>Region<\/strong> from the drop down menu. Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21734 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws16\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws16-600x579.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws16\" width=\"600\" height=\"579\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enable the properties you need then click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21735 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws17\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws17-600x579.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws17\" width=\"600\" height=\"579\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Set permissions to the owner and click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21736 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws18\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws18-600x579.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws18\" width=\"600\" height=\"579\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Create bucket<\/strong> to complete the procedure.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21737 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws19\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws19-600x579.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws19\" width=\"600\" height=\"579\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The S3 Bucket has been created successfully.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21738 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws20\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws20-600x243.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws20\" width=\"600\" height=\"243\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Configure Cloud Replication<\/h2>\n<p>Once the S3 Bucket has been created and the user's\u00a0<span class=\"fontstyle0\">Access Key ID \/ Secret access key<\/span>\u00a0are available, <span class=\"fontstyle0\">enabling the <strong>replication between StarWind and AWS<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0is the next step of the configuration.<br \/>\nFrom the StarWind Management Console, select the VTL device then click <strong>Cloud Replication<\/strong>. Keep in mind that currently running StarWind Virtual San and Cloud VTL on the same server is not supported.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21742 size-large\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws21\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws21-600x411.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws21\" width=\"600\" height=\"411\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter the\u00a0<span class=\"fontstyle0\"><strong>Access Key ID<\/strong> \/ <strong>Secret access key<\/strong> and specify <strong>Region<\/strong> and <strong>Bucket Name<\/strong>. The specified Region must correspond to the one used during the S3 Bucket creation. Click <strong>Next<\/strong>. to continue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21743 size-full\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws22\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws22.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws22\" width=\"585\" height=\"468\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Specify the <strong>Tape File Retention Settings<\/strong> and click <strong>Apply<\/strong>. You can also specify to create a new <strong>empty tapes automatically<\/strong> when existing tape is exported for replication.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-21744 size-full\" title=\"starwindcloudvtlaws23\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/starwindcloudvtlaws23.jpg\" alt=\"starwindcloudvtlaws23\" width=\"585\" height=\"468\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Tape replication to Amazon S3 with offload to Glacier is now successfully configured according to the retention policy specified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Move During the Day<\/strong> option means that StarWind Cloud VTL Service sends the request and Amazon schedules the data transfer to be performed during the day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/starwind-cloud-vtl-configure-tape-job-veeam-pt-3\/\">Part 3<\/a> will cover the configuration of Veeam Backup &amp; Replication to use StarWind VTL.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"signature\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/firma.jpg\" alt=\"signature\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After deploying\u00a0StarWind Cloud VTL in your infrastructure, you need to setup the AWS environment to copy your backup files.
