Cache storage acts as the on-premises durable store for data that is waiting to upload to Amazon S3. You should\u00a0<strong>allocate at least 20%<\/strong>\u00a0of your existing file store size as cache storage and it is recommended to have a disk size of\u00a0<strong>at least 150 GB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23378 size-large\" title=\"aws-gateway-s3-17\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/aws-gateway-s3-17-600x624.jpg\" alt=\"aws-gateway-s3-17\" width=\"600\" height=\"624\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Add a new <strong>SCSI Controller<\/strong> and set the type as\u00a0<strong>VMware Paravirtual<\/strong>. Assign the\u00a0SCSI Controller to the created new hard disk. Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23403 size-large\" title=\"aws-gateway-s3-41\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/aws-gateway-s3-41-600x348.jpg\" alt=\"aws-gateway-s3-41\" width=\"600\" height=\"348\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the <strong>Review<\/strong> window, double check the default values:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Allowed clients<\/strong>: the default value to <em>0.0.0.0\/0<\/em> to allow the <strong>access from any IP<\/strong>. For security reasons, it is recommended to change this configuration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Squash level<\/strong>: by default, this parameter is set to <strong>Root squash<\/strong>.
