The new version 7.4 provides some interesting new features that make the backup management simpler.<\/p>\n

Instant File Recovery to source<\/h4>\n

To restore accidentally deleted, modified, or corrupted files, version 7.4 can near-instantly\u00a0restore files back to their original location<\/strong> right from compressed and deduplicated VM backups, without restoring the entire VM first.\u00a0Files can be also restored to different locations<\/strong>, downloaded<\/strong>, or sent via email<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Automated VM Failover<\/h4>\n

In the event of a disaster, the VM disaster recovery process can be automated and simplified<\/strong> through the VM failover jobs. The VM failover jobs include\u00a0network mapping<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0re-IP<\/strong>\u00a0rules, which ensure that recovered VMs can function normally at the DR site.<\/p>\n

Providing an image-based backup for AWS EC2 instances, with version 7.4 you can now save up to 1.000 recovery points<\/strong> per protected EC2 instance. AWS EC2 instance backups can be left in the cloud or sent to an on-premises location<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Automated Self-Backup<\/h4>\n

It is now possible to back up the entire product configuration<\/strong>, including jobs, inventory, and all other settings automatically to your backup repositories with the Self-Backup feature<\/strong>. If something goes wrong with\u00a0NAKIVO Backup & Replication VM, you can quickly restore the product functionality simply by installing the application and importing the configuration directly from the backup.<\/p>\n

Bandwidth Throttling<\/h4>\n

If log files are not under control, they can grow over time till consuming all available disk space causing a server crash.<\/p>\n

Instant Object Recovery for Microsoft SQL Server 2017<\/h4>\n

The\u00a0Object Recovery for Microsoft SQL Server<\/a>\u00a0lets you instantly recover Microsoft SQL objects<\/strong> (databases and tables) to their original location or a custom location. This feature is very useful if an SQL database becomes corrupted or if undesired changes need to be rolled back.<\/p>\n
