Instant File Recovery supports both\u00a0<strong>Windows and Linux\u00a0OS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24587 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-02\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-02-600x138.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-02\" width=\"600\" height=\"138\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With the new added capability, the file restore available options\u00a0in Nakivo are now the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Download to browser<\/strong> - file is saved on local computer<\/li>\n<li><strong>Send via email<\/strong> - the recovered file is sent via email<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recover to server<\/strong> - recovered file can be restored to original or custom locations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Instant File Recovery<\/h2>\n<p>To restore a file from the backup, from Nakivo's dashboard select\u00a0<strong>Recover &gt; Individual Files<\/strong>\u00a0from the main menu.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24591 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-03-600x459.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-03\" width=\"600\" height=\"459\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select the virtual machine that contains the file to recover and specify the appropriate <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/how-calculate-rto-reduce-downtime-nakivo\/\">RPO<\/a>. Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24592 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-04\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-04-600x293.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-04\" width=\"600\" height=\"293\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you select the\u00a0<strong>Download to browser or send via email<\/strong> option, a\u00a0<strong>Data Routing<\/strong>\u00a0area is displayed and you have to specify in the <strong>Proxy transporter<\/strong>\u00a0field the transporter to use (<strong>Do not use proxy transporter<\/strong> by default).<\/p>\n<p>To restore the file to the original source, select <strong>Recover to the following server (Beta)<\/strong> option and select from the drop-down\u00a0<strong>Recovery server<\/strong>\u00a0menu the server on which you want to restore the file. Specify the credentials to access the server and click <strong>Test Connection<\/strong> to verify if the entered credentials are correct.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24593 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-05\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-05-600x313.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-05\" width=\"600\" height=\"313\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When the connection test has completed successfully, click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24594 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-06\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-06-600x293.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-06\" width=\"600\" height=\"293\" \/><\/p>\n<p>From the <strong>Files<\/strong> tab you can browse <strong>files and folders<\/strong> or <strong>Search<\/strong>\u00a0for the file to restore (search starts from the selected point). Select the file to recover then click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24595 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-07\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-07-600x292.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-07\" width=\"600\" height=\"292\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>Options<\/strong> tab you must specify where to restore the file. The <strong>Recovery type<\/strong> can be performed in two ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Recover to original location<\/strong> - the file is restored to source location<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recover to custom location<\/strong> - the file is restored to the specified location and path. Local folder on Recovery Server,\u00a0CIFS\/NFS shares are the supported custom locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Regardless of which recovery option has been selected, you must specify also the <strong>Overwrite behavior<\/strong>.\u00a0Click <strong>Recover<\/strong> to begin the restore process.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24596 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-08\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-08-600x293.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-08\" width=\"600\" height=\"293\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you select the <strong>Download to browser or send via email<\/strong> option, the available\u00a0<strong>Recovery type<\/strong> options are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Download<\/strong> - the file is saved to the local computer<\/li>\n<li><strong>Forward via email<\/strong> - the file is sent as email-attachment. Make sure the <strong>email settings<\/strong> have been properly configured in Nakivo to successfully send the email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24597 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-09\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-09-600x225.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-09\" width=\"600\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When the restore process has started, you can follow the file recovery progress from the <strong>Activities<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24598 size-large\" title=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-10\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-10-600x152.jpg\" alt=\"nakivo-instant-file-level-restore-10\" width=\"600\" height=\"152\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The recover is being performed.
