{"id":24767,"date":"2018-05-30T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-05-30T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/?p=24767"},"modified":"2018-05-30T08:38:05","modified_gmt":"2018-05-30T06:38:05","slug":"runecast-analyzer-1-7-5-with-vsphere-6-7-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/runecast-analyzer-1-7-5-with-vsphere-6-7-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Runecast Analyzer 1.7.5 with vSphere 6.7 support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24770 size-full\" title=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-01\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-01.jpg\" alt=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-01\" width=\"602\" height=\"202\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Runecast released <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/runecast-analyzer-1-7-vsan-support\/\">Runecast Analyzer<\/a> 1.7.5, the proactive issue prevention solution for VMware vSphere introduces the full support for the\u00a0recently released <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/vmware-vsphere-6-7-released\/\">VMware vSphere 6.7<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to vSphere 6.7 support, the new release comes with some new capabilities as reported in the <strong>Release Notes<\/strong>:<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applying filter to parents will now auto-select child objects as well<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced security for SSL Server Authentication<\/li>\n<li>Applying \"Ignore\" button on Inventory view will auto-select the related object<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Upgrade to Runecast Analyzer 1.7.5<\/h2>\n<p>Since version 1.7.3, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/runecast-analyzer-1-7-3-new-kb-update-mechanism\/\">upgrade process<\/a>\u00a0of the application has been simplified and now the appliance can be <strong>quickly updated<\/strong> with no need to reboot when the KB definitions are updated.<\/p>\n<p>To update the software, open your favorite browser and access the Runecast appliance by typing the address <em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">https:\/\/IP_appliance:5480<\/span><\/em> then enter the admin credentials (default <em>rcadmin<\/em>\/<em>admin<\/em>). Click <strong>Login<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24771 size-large\" title=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-02\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-02-600x162.jpg\" alt=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-02\" width=\"600\" height=\"162\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Go to <strong>Update &gt; Status<\/strong> tab and click <strong>Check Updates<\/strong> button. When the new appliance version is detected, click <strong>Install Updates<\/strong> button to proceed with the upgrade. The update is available to users with an <strong>active subscription<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24772 size-large\" title=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-03-600x239.jpg\" alt=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-03\" width=\"600\" height=\"239\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Yes<\/strong>\u00a0in the confirmation window to proceed with the update. The update is being installed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24773 size-full\" title=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-04\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-04.jpg\" alt=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-04\" width=\"347\" height=\"101\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After few seconds, the appliance has upgraded successfully to latest version.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24774 size-large\" title=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-05\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-05-600x196.jpg\" alt=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-05\" width=\"600\" height=\"196\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can perform also an <strong>offline update<\/strong> downloading the .ISO file and the Knowledge Base definitions from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.runecast.biz\/profile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">customer portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24783 size-full\" title=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-06\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-06.jpg\" alt=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-06\" width=\"380\" height=\"645\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Add the vCenter Server 6.7<\/h2>\n<p>To add the new vCenter Server 6.7 to Runecast Analyzer, the procedure is still the same. From the Dashboard, access the <strong>Setting page<\/strong> by clicking the <strong>Settings <\/strong>icon then click <strong>Add vCenter<\/strong>\u00a0button to specify the new vCenter to analyze.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24784 size-large\" title=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-07\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-07-600x278.jpg\" alt=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-07\" width=\"600\" height=\"278\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter the <strong>vCenter Server<\/strong> FQDN or IP Address and the correct credentials to access. Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-24785 size-full\" title=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-08\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-08.jpg\" alt=\"runecast-analyzer-sphere-6-7-support-08\" width=\"500\" height=\"347\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When the vCenter has been connected to Runecast Analyzer, click the <strong>Analyze Now<\/strong> button specifying the vCenter Server to analyze from the list if multiple vCenter Servers are configured in the application.
