In a corporate environment, the IP address used to communicate with Office 365 environment is generally the <strong>firewall's Public IP<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If your Public IP has been tagged by Office 365, you are not longer able to send emails. To investigate the cause of the problem you need to open a <strong>Telnet session<\/strong> against Office 365's SMTP.<\/p>\n<p>Check your\u00a0<strong>Office 365 SMTP<\/strong>\u00a0in the <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.office365.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Office 365 portal<\/a>, it should be something like:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>nolabnoparty-com.mail.protection.outlook.com<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Error 505 5.7.606 banned sending IP<\/h2>\n<p>To troubleshoot the problem, verify <strong>which IP address you are using<\/strong> to communicate with <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/adfs-3-0-replace-ssl-certificate\/\">Office 365<\/a>. To easily identify your Public IP, type in Google <strong>what is my ip<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35779 size-large\" title=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-02\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-02-600x283.jpg\" alt=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-02\" width=\"600\" height=\"283\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When the used Public IP has been identified, using a tool like PuTTY you have to\u00a0<strong>open a Telnet session<\/strong>\u00a0to Office 365's SMTP using the\u00a0<strong>port 25<\/strong>. Type the following commands:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">EHLO<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">MAIL FROM: sender@domain.com<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">RCPT TO: recipient@domain.com<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35781 size-large\" title=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-03-600x307.jpg\" alt=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-03\" width=\"600\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The reported error message explains the reason why the email cannot be sent, the used\u00a0<strong>IP address is blocked<\/strong> by Office 365. To <strong>remove your IP address<\/strong> from the banned list, you have to open your favorite browser and type the address\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sender.office.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/sender.office.com<\/a>. Enter the required information and click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35783 size-large\" title=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-04\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-04-600x446.jpg\" alt=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-04\" width=\"600\" height=\"446\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The system informs you an email has been sent to the specified recipient.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35785 size-large\" title=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-05\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-05-600x192.jpg\" alt=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-05\" width=\"600\" height=\"192\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the specified mailbox you will receive an email from <strong>Microsoft Delisting Service<\/strong> with a link needed to confirm your email address. After clicking the <strong>Confirm your email address<\/strong> link, you are returned to the Delist Portal.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35787 size-large\" title=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-06\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-06-600x370.jpg\" alt=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-06\" width=\"600\" height=\"370\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Delist IP address<\/strong> button to remove the specified IP address from the banned list.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-35789 size-large\" title=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-07\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-07-600x294.jpg\" alt=\"office365-error-505-5-7-606-banned-sending-ip-07\" width=\"600\" height=\"294\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The system reports the <strong>IP address has been delisted<\/strong>.
