Enter your credentials or <strong>Use Windows session authentication<\/strong> option then click <strong>Login<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-38384 size-large\" title=\"vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-02\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-02-600x246.jpg\" alt=\"vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-02\" width=\"600\" height=\"246\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What's new in vCenter Server 6.7 Update 2<\/h2>\n<p>As already stated during the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/vmware-vsphere-6-7-released\/\">VMware vSphere 6.7<\/a>, the external <strong>PSC topology has been deprecated<\/strong> in favour of the new Enhanced Linked Mode feature that is able to link <strong>up to 15 embedded vCenter.\u00a0<\/strong>During the deployment procedure, now you can see a clear warning about the deprecated PSC topology.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-38386 size-large\" title=\"vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-03-600x321.jpg\" alt=\"vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-03\" width=\"600\" height=\"321\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Converge Tool now in the GUI<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/vcenter-server-6-7-converge-tool-embed-external-psc-into-vcsa\/\">Converge Tool<\/a>, available from vSphere 6.7 Update 1, used to merge an external PSC into a vCSA via CLI is now <strong>available directly in vSphere Client<\/strong>. As announced already during the release of vSphere 6.7, VMware deprecated the topology of vCSA with an external PSC.<\/p>\n<p>To perform the <strong>Converge to Embedded<\/strong> procedure, from the vCSA select <strong>Menu &gt; Administration<\/strong> then under <strong>Deployment<\/strong> section select <strong>System Configuration<\/strong> (picture from VMware vSphere blog).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-38388 size-large\" title=\"vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-04\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Enhanced protection against L1TF attack<\/h4>\n<p>With vSphere 6.7 Update 2, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/l1-terminal-fault-l1tf-vulnerability-vsphere-patches-available\/\">L1TF security vulnerability<\/a> protection has been implemented including a modified scheduler that also recaptures performance impacted by the vulnerability.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-38390 size-large\" title=\"vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-05\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>File-Based backup and restore<\/h4>\n<p>In addition to HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SCP protocols, vCenter Server 6.7 Update 2 extends the supported protocols for vCSA backup and restore introducing the <strong>support for NFS and SMB protocols<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-38392 size-large\" title=\"vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-06\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-06-600x343.jpg\" alt=\"vsphere-6-7-update-2-released-06\" width=\"600\" height=\"343\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another feature releated to backup and restore is the introduction of the <strong>Event Notifications<\/strong>\u00a0on backup job success and failure.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-38399 size-large\" title=\"sphere-6-7-update-2-released-07\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Content Libraries<\/h4>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/working-with-content-libraries-in-vsphere-6-5\/\">Content Library<\/a> feature is continuosly enhanced with new cool capabilities. vSphere 6.7 Update 2 adds the feature to <strong>synchronize VM templates<\/strong>\u00a0between vCenter Servers configured in update<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Virtual Hardware<\/h4>\n<p>VMware vSphere 6.7 Update 2 introduces the <strong>Virtual Hardware 15<\/strong> which extends the support maximum as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>256 vCPUs per VM<\/li>\n<li>6TB RAM per VM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After installing VMware vSphere 6.7 Update 2, the new vCSA's version is <strong>6.7.0.30000 build
