To backup Office 365<\/a> mailboxes of the Organizations configured in Veeam Backup for Office 365 4.0, you need to create a Backup Job specifying objects to include.<\/p>\n

Before proceeding with the creation of the Backup Job, make sure you have already configured a Backup Repository<\/strong> where to store the backups.<\/p>\n

Create a Backup Job in Veeam Backup for Office 365 4.0<\/h2>\n

To create a Backup Job, select first the Organization to protect<\/strong> then click Backup<\/strong>\u00a0in the menu.<\/p>\n

Enter a Name<\/strong> for the Backup Job and a Description<\/strong> then click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you want to backup only specific objects, select Back up the following objects<\/strong> option then click Add<\/strong>. Select object type to backup (Users\u00a0<\/em>in the example).<\/p>\n

Select the accounts to backup then click Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Once the selection of the objects to backup has been completed, click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If some objects shouldn't be processed by the backup, click Add<\/strong> and specify objects to exclude then click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select the Backup Proxy<\/strong> to use and the Backup Repository<\/strong> previously configured. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Specify a schedule for the job and click Create<\/strong>\u00a0to create the Backup Job.<\/p>\n

In version 4.0<\/a> you have the option to exclude Contacts and Calendars<\/strong> from the backup. From main menu select General options<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Go to Folders<\/strong> tab and select Contacts and Calendars<\/strong> items. Click OK<\/strong> to save the configuration.<\/p>\n

Run the Backup Job<\/h4>\n

When the job has been created, right click the Backup Job and select Start<\/strong> to start the job immediately.<\/p>\n

Click the Backup Job to display the backup progress <\/strong>area.<\/p>\n

Depending on the size of the objects to backup, after some minutes the backup completes successfully.<\/p>\n

Check the backup content<\/h4>\n

Once the backup has been completed, right click the created Backup Job and select Explore latest Exchange state of...<\/strong> option to display the content of the processed backup.<\/p>\n

If Veeam Backup for Office 365 and Veeam Backup & Replication<\/a> are installed on the same server<\/strong> (this is possible from VBR Update 4<\/a>), you may receive the following error:<\/p>\n

To fix this issue, you need to install the latest Veeam Explorer<\/strong>\u00a0from Veeam Backup for Office 365 package.<\/p>\n
