To upgrade from previous version, check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veeam.com\/kb2053\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Veeam Backup &amp; Replication upgrade paths<\/a>.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Upgrade path<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Veeam VBR 7.x<\/strong> - 7.0 Patch 4 (7.0.0.871) &gt; 9.0.0.902 &gt; 9.5 Update 3a (9.5.0.1922) &gt; v10<\/li>\n<li><strong>Veeam VBR 8.x<\/strong> - 8.0 Update 3 (8.0.0.2084) &gt; 9.0.0.902 &gt; 9.5 Update 3a (9.5.0.1922) &gt; v10<\/li>\n<li><strong>Veeam VBR 9.0.x<\/strong> - 9.5 Update 3a (9.5.0.1922) &gt; v10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Before upgrading<\/h2>\n<p>To avoid issues due to <strong>unsupported versions<\/strong>, before upgrading your Veeam infrastructure make sure your components are supported by the new version.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Veeam ONE<\/strong> - if Veeam ONE is installed in your infrastructure, this is the first component to upgrade. Backup Servers 9.5 Update 3 or later are supported.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Veeam Agent<\/strong> - before upgrading VBR to version 10, make sure installed <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/veeam-agent-for-microsoft-windows\/\">Veeam Agents<\/a> on protected computers are upgraded at least to version 3.0.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Veeam Cloud Connect<\/strong> - check if your <a href=\"https:\/\/revirt.global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Service Provider<\/a> has already upgraded its infrastructure to avoid service disruption.<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"List_L1\"><strong>Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager<\/strong> - if this component is used in your backup infrastructure, <\/span><span class=\"List_L1\">start the VBR upgrade procedure from this component. Version 10 supports Backup Server 9.5 Update 3 or later.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Licenses<\/h4>\n<p>Correct licenses can be obtained from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veeam.com\/support.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Veeam Customer Support Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>per-VM license for VMs or Veeam Agents<\/strong> - obtain a replacement instance license<\/li>\n<li><strong>Perpetual socket and Veeam Agents<\/strong> on your Backup Server - obtain a unique file with merged license with sockets and instances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-42750\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/upgrade-veeam-vbr-version-10-02-600x193.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"193\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Upgrade Veeam Backup &amp; Replication to version 10<\/h2>\n<p>If Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager is installed in your backup infrastructure, update this component first.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Upgrade Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager<\/h4>\n<p>From the Veeam Backup &amp; Replication ISO double click the <strong>setup.exe<\/strong> to run the installer. From the wizard select <strong>Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-42752\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/upgrade-veeam-vbr-version-10-03-600x420.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"420\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Accept the EULA and click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42754\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/upgrade-veeam-vbr-version-10-04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The system detects a previous installed version of Veeam components. If an <strong>outdated version<\/strong> is installed at Service Provider, you may receive a warning. Make sure Veeam Cloud Connect is updated before upgrading your infrastructure. Click <strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42792\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/upgrade-veeam-vbr-version-10-23.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"482\" height=\"278\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>If installed <strong>Veeam Agents are version 2.0<\/strong> you must upgrade the agents to <strong>at least version 3.0<\/strong>.
