If you are running an earlier version, check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veeam.com\/kb2053\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Veeam upgrade path<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Settings &gt; Help &gt; About<\/strong> to check installed version.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-47986 size-full\" title=\"veeam-v11-whats-new-upgrade-procedure-06\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/veeam-v11-whats-new-upgrade-procedure-06.jpg\" alt=\"veeam-v11-whats-new-upgrade-procedure-06\" width=\"450\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Before running the upgrade, keep in mind the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>License format<\/strong> - license format is the same introduced with v10 so same license can be used in version 11.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cloud Connect<\/strong> - if you are using Veeam Cloud Connect to externalize your backups or replicas, make sure your provider has already upgraded their systems to latest version.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Veeam Availability Orchestrator<\/strong> - version 3.0 or earlier is not compatible with Veeam Backup &amp; replication 11.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Veeam Backup Enterprise Manager<\/strong> - if used, this is the first component to upgrade if Veeam One is not installed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Veeam One<\/strong> - if used, this is the first component to upgrade.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Active Tasks<\/strong> - make sure there are no active processes before running the upgrade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is recommended to take a <strong>backup of the Veeam DB<\/strong> to have a life jacket in case something goes wrong during the upgrade process.
