Right click the <strong>ADSI Edit<\/strong> item and select <strong>Connect to<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48832 size-large\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-03-600x329.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-03\" width=\"600\" height=\"329\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enter <strong>View ADAM Database<\/strong> as <strong>Name<\/strong> for the connection and set the following options:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the <strong>Select or type a Distinguished Name or Naming Contest<\/strong> text box enter <strong>dc=vdi,dc=vmware,dc=int<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enter <strong>localhost<\/strong> in the <strong>Select or type a domain or server<\/strong> text box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to establish the connection.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48834 size-full\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-04\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-04.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-04\" width=\"380\" height=\"386\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Expand the <strong>DC=vdi,dc=vmware,dc=int<\/strong> item and access the <strong>OU=Server Groups<\/strong>\u00a0section. Search for the <strong>CN<\/strong> that contains the Desktop Pool to remove then right click the CN Name and select <strong>Delete<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48836 size-large\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-05\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-05-600x350.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-05\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Yes<\/strong> to confirm.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48838 size-full\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-06\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-06.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-06\" width=\"335\" height=\"165\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Desktop Pool has been deleted successfully.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48840 size-large\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-07\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-07-600x391.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-07\" width=\"600\" height=\"391\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Access the <strong>OU=Applications<\/strong> section and search for the CN with the Desktop Pool to remove. Right click the item and select <strong>Delete<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48842 size-large\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-08\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-08-600x354.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-08\" width=\"600\" height=\"354\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Yes<\/strong> to confirm.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48844 size-full\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-09\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-09.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-09\" width=\"335\" height=\"165\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Desktop Pool has been removed successfully.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48846 size-large\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-10\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-10.-600x269.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-10\" width=\"600\" height=\"269\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now go back to <strong>Inventory &gt; Desktop<\/strong> area in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vmware.com\/products\/horizon.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VMware Horizon<\/a>. The stuck Desktop Pool is no longer listed and it has been removed from Horizon.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-48848 size-large\" title=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-11\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-11-600x404.jpg\" alt=\"horizon-remove-desktop-pool-stuck-deleting-state-11\" width=\"600\" height=\"404\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although this issue doesn't stop <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/vmware-horizon-grant-permissions-in-active-directory\/\">VMware Horizon<\/a> service, it always recommended to have the system clean with no pending or stuck operations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"signature\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/firma.jpg\" alt=\"signature\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the operation of delete of a Desktop Pool in VMware Horizon, the Desktop Pool stuck in deleting state and it is not removed from the system.
