Kemp Load Balancer is a cost-effective solution to balance the VMware Horizon<\/a> infrastructure to ensure maximum availability<\/strong> and provide the best experience for users<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To provide high availability and scalability<\/strong> for your Horizon infrastructure, multiple Connection Servers<\/a> and Unified Access Gateways should be deployed in your virtual infrastructure and balanced with solutions such as Kemp LoadMaster<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Deploy Kemp Load Balancer<\/h2>\n

From vSphere Client, right click the desired resource object and select Deploy OVF Template<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click Upload Files<\/strong> and select the files required for the installation. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Specify the Virtual machine name<\/strong> and the location then click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select the compute resource and click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select the datastore to store the Kemp appliance and click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Specify the networks to use. In this example, the Kemp appliance will be used to load balance both UAGs<\/a> and Connection Servers<\/a> located in DMZ and LAN areas. Select the LAN network<\/strong> for the Network<\/strong> field and the DMZ network<\/strong> for the Farm<\/strong> field. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click Finish<\/strong> to start the deployment.<\/p>\n

When the installation has been completed, access the Kemp's console<\/strong> through the vSphere Client. Enter the default credentials<\/strong> to login:<\/p>\n

Enter the appliance IP Address<\/strong> for the LAN side<\/strong> and click OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Specify the default gateway<\/strong> and click OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Enter the DNS IP Addresses<\/strong> and click OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Leave blank and click OK<\/strong> if no HTTP(S) proxy server is used in your network.<\/p>\n

Click Yes<\/strong> to apply the configuration.<\/p>\n

Once the initial configuration has been completed, open your preferred browser and enter the URL https:\/\/<IP_Appliance_LAN><\/span><\/em>\u00a0to access the Kemp GUI. Click Agree<\/strong> to accept the EULA.<\/p>\n

Enter the trial license<\/h4>\n

You need a valid license to enable the Kemp functionality. If you don't have a purchased license yet, enter your Kemp Identifier<\/strong> and Password<\/strong> then click License Now<\/strong> to obtain a 30-day trial license.<\/p>\n

Select the available Temp License<\/strong> and click Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Configure the password<\/h4>\n

Next step is the configuration of the password for the bal<\/em> user. Enter the new Password<\/strong> and click Set Password<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
