To enforce security, Nakivo Backup & Replication v10.4<\/a> provides the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) capability to prevent unauthorized access<\/strong> to your data protection activities.<\/p>\n

When 2FA feature has been enabled, an additional code<\/strong> generated by Google Authenticator o similar apps is required to complete the login process to your Nakivo installation.<\/p>\n

Configure Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in Nakivo<\/h2>\n

Login to Nakivo's Dashboard and click Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click Users and Roles<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

Select the user to enable 2FA.<\/p>\n

To enable Two-factor authentication<\/strong> option an email address must be specified in the Email<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n

Enter an email address then enable the Two-factor authentication<\/strong> option. Click the configure<\/strong> link to proceed with 2FA configuration.<\/p>\n

Click Continue<\/strong> to configure the sign in procedure.<\/p>\n

The wizard reports the previously specified email. Click change email<\/strong> if you wish to modify the email address set or click Continue<\/strong> to proceed with setup.<\/p>\n

A verification code<\/strong> is sent to specified email address.<\/p>\n

From the received email, copy the confirmation code<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Paste the confirmation code in Nakivo and click Verify<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click the skip<\/strong> link if you don't want to Enter an alternative email address<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Install Google Authenticator<\/a> or similar apps on your phone then click Continue<\/strong>\u00a0when done.<\/p>\n

Write down the code generated by the application.<\/p>\n

\"nakivo-protect-login-with-2fa-14\"<\/p>\n

Enter the verification code and click Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Write down the Pairing Key<\/strong> to be reused in other devices. Click Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Copy the Backup Codes<\/strong> needed to login if you are unable to provide a verification code. Click\u00a0Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Enter one of the backup codes received and click Finish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click Save<\/strong> when the Two-factor authentication has been configured successfully.<\/p>\n

In the column Two-factor authentication the corresponding configured user is now shown as enabled (configured)<\/strong>. In this example, the administrator<\/em> account will need an additional code (2FA) to login to Nakivo.<\/p>\n

Test 2FA login<\/h2>\n

Access the login page of your Nakivo Backup & Replication and enter the administrator credentials. Click Log in<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pick the verification code<\/strong> from your Google Authenticator<\/a> or similar app and enter the code in the appropriate field. Click Proceed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The user administrator<\/em> was able to successfully log in to Nakivo.<\/p>\n
