The upcoming version 10.9 will provide the following new features:<\/p>\n

vSphere 8.0 Update 1 support<\/h4>\n

The upcoming new release will support VMware vSphere 8.0 Update 1<\/strong> providing protection for VMs running in the latest ESXi.<\/p>\n

Debian support<\/h4>\n

Nakivo v10.9 can now be installed on Debian operating system<\/strong> and supports the protection (app-aware, incremental backups) for physical Debian-based machines<\/strong> running version 10.1 up to 11.5.<\/p>\n

Bare Metal recovery<\/h4>\n

Physical Servers can now be recovered faster from backups to the same or other identical hardware<\/strong>. The new Bare Metal recovery feature allows to reduce the downtime with minimal service disruption.<\/p>\n

Backup Malware scan<\/h4>\n

Backups can now be scanned against malware or ransomware infection before recovery ensuring maximum protection. To detect possible infection, Microsoft Windows Defender, ESET NOD32 Smart Security, and Sophos Endpoint Protection can be now integrated with Nakivo Backup & Replication<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Direct Recovery from tape<\/h4>\n

Virtual machines and EC2 instance can now be restored directly to your infrastructure<\/strong> from backups stored on tape media without the need for a staging repository. The new feature supports VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, and Amazon EC2 platforms.<\/p>\n

Using the physical-to-virtual (P2V) recovery capability, Windows and Linux physical machines<\/a> can be restored as VMware VMs<\/strong> from backups stored on tape.<\/p>\n

PST recovery for Exchange Server<\/h4>\n

The new Nakivo Backup & Replication<\/a> v10.9 allows to Export Microsoft Exchange Server objects (mailbox, public folders, emails) to a PST file<\/strong> in a custom location.<\/p>\n

Direct Connect<\/h4>\n

This feature has been enhanced by allowing a secure connection without setting up a VPN<\/strong> adding the support for physical machines, Site Recovery, VMware Free ESXi hosts and NAS-based Transporters.<\/p>\n

External database for Multi-Tenant deployments<\/h4>\n

The internal Nakivo database can now be moved to an external database<\/strong> (existing PostgreSQL database or a new one) to better support large environments. Version 9 adds the support for multi-tenant environments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
