Nakivo released the new Nakivo Backup & Replication<\/a> v10.9 providing new features such as Bare-Metal Recovery and Backup Malware scan.<\/p>\n Version 10.9 provides several enhancements and new features that make Nakivo Backup & Replication<\/a>\u00a0a valid tool to protect your\u00a0virtual and physical infrastructures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The new version 10.9 provides the following main features:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The new version supports VMware vSphere 8.0 Update 1<\/strong>\u00a0providing protection for VMs running in the latest ESXi.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Nakivo v10.9 can now be\u00a0installed on Debian operating system<\/strong>\u00a0and supports the protection (app-aware, incremental backups) for\u00a0physical Debian-based machines<\/strong>\u00a0running version 10.1 up to 11.5.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Physical Servers can now be recovered faster\u00a0from backups to the same or other identical hardware<\/strong>. The new Bare-Metal Recovery feature allows to reduce the downtime with minimal service disruption.<\/p>\n To create the bootable media, go to Jobs<\/strong> tab and select Recover > Bootable media<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Backups can now be scanned against malware or ransomware infection<\/strong> before recovery ensuring maximum protection. To detect possible infection, supported anti-malware solutions can be integrated with Nakivo Backup & Replication<\/a>.<\/p>\n To add a supported scan server, go to Inventory<\/strong> tab and select Settings (...) > Scan Servers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Virtual machines and EC2 instance can now be\u00a0restored directly to your infrastructure<\/strong>\u00a0from backups stored on tape media without the need for a staging repository. The new feature supports VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, and Amazon EC2 platforms.<\/p>\n Using the physical-to-virtual (P2V) recovery capability,\u00a0Windows and Linux physical machines<\/a>\u00a0can be\u00a0restored as VMware VMs<\/strong>\u00a0from backups stored on tape.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The internal Nakivo database can now be\u00a0moved to an external database<\/strong>\u00a0(existing PostgreSQL database or a new one) to better support large environments.
