After you revert, you can reinstall the replicated instances and point to the instance you reverted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65871\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-04-600x190.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"190\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>From the Horizon Console take a screenshot of the <strong>Global Settings<\/strong>, configured <strong>Desktop Pools<\/strong> and <strong>all the settings<\/strong> specific to this instance in case you need to restore.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65873\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-05-600x363.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"363\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Take a <strong>backup of the Horizon LDAP<\/strong> using the tool <strong>vdmexport.exe<\/strong>.\u00a0Open the <strong>Command Prompt<\/strong> and type the commands:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">C:\\&gt; cd \"\\Program Files\\Omnissa\\Horizon\\Server\\tools\\bin\"<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">C:\\...&gt; vdmexport.exe -f c:\\temp\\backupdb.ldf<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65876\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-06-600x139.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"139\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The created backup file.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65878\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"484\" height=\"302\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Upgrade the Connection Server<\/h2>\n<p>Download the application from <a href=\"https:\/\/customerconnect.omnissa.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Omnissa website<\/a> and copy the installer file to the server to upgrade.<\/p>\n<p>To upgrade a specific Connection Server, we need to disable it to <strong>prevent the system from using it<\/strong> during the upgrade process.\u00a0Login to the administrative console and go to <strong>Settings &gt; Servers<\/strong> and go to the <strong>Connection Servers<\/strong> tab. Select the Connection Server to upgrade and click <strong>Disable<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65880\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-08-600x299.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"299\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to confirm.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65882\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-09-600x226.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"226\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The server <strong>State<\/strong> is now reported as <strong>Disabled<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65884\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-10-600x291.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"291\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Double click the installer file to run the wizard.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65886\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"314\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Next<\/strong> to continue.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65888\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-12.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65890\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-13.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65892\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Install<\/strong> to begin the upgrade.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65894\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The upgrade is being executed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65896\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-16.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>When the installation is completed successfully, click <strong>Finish<\/strong> to exit the wizard.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65898\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-17.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Now go back to <strong>Settings &gt; Servers<\/strong> and navigate to the <strong>Connection Servers<\/strong> tab. Select the just upgraded server and click <strong>Enable<\/strong>. Take note of the new <strong>Version<\/strong>\u00a0number displayed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65900\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-18-600x297.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"297\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Now select and <strong>Disable<\/strong> the <strong>second Connection Server<\/strong> and repeat the same upgrade procedure.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65902\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-19-600x287.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"287\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>When all <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/en\/vmware-horizon-configure-smart-card-authentication\/\">Connection Servers<\/a> have been upgraded, the <strong>new version will be 8.15.0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65904\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-20-600x303.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"303\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Remove the snapshot previously taken.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-65906\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-21-600x183.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"183\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>When you access the Connection Server Console login page, the <strong>new version will be displayed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65908\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"372\" height=\"569\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Upgrade the Enrollment Server<\/h2>\n<p>If your Horizon infrastructure uses the <a href=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/vmware-horizon-true-sso-configurazione-pt-1\/\">Enrollment Server for TrueSSO<\/a>, you must also upgrade this component.<\/p>\n<p>Follow the <strong>same procedure<\/strong> as outlined earlier.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65910\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-23.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>When the installation is completed successfully, click <strong>Finish<\/strong> to exit the wizard.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65912\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-24.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The Enrollment Server has been upgraded successfully.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Upgrade the Horizon Agent<\/h2>\n<p>Also the Agent<strong> installed in the Golden Image<\/strong> must be upgraded.\u00a0Double click the installer file to <strong>launch the Agent upgrade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65914\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-25.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"514\" height=\"314\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65916\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/upgrade-omnissa-connection-server-26.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"527\" height=\"386\" title=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Leave default protocol <strong>IPv4<\/strong>\u00a0and click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-65918\"
