Veeam Backup\u00a0Enterprise Manager allows the administrators to manage multiple Veeam installations<\/strong> from a single web console.<\/p>\n

This feature makes administration job easier having the global overview of backups configured<\/strong> in your network without accessing each Veeam Backup installation.<\/p>\n

Procedure<\/h2>\n

Launch the application setup. Click Next<\/strong> to start the wizard.<\/p>\n

Accept the EULA<\/strong> then click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Provide a valid license file<\/strong> to enable Backup Enterprise Manager then click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Select the features to be installed then click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Process starts the configuration check for missing features.<\/p>\n

Missing prerequisites are installed in the system. A reboot<\/strong> may be required to complete the installation.<\/p>\n

When the configuration check is complete, click Next<\/strong> to continue.<\/p>\n

Enter the service account used by Veeam. Specify same account used previously<\/strong> during Veeam Backup & Replication installation<\/a>. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If an external SQL server is used, select Use existing instance of SQL Server<\/strong> option and the correct instance. Click OK<\/strong> to confirm.<\/p>\n

Leave default values. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When setup has finished installing the application, click Finish<\/strong> to exit the wizard.<\/p>\n

Access Veeam Backup Enterprise Manger by typing the credentials<\/strong> in your browser then click Login<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The main screen is shown. A warning reports the configurations requested like\u00a0Backup Servers<\/strong>\u00a0that must be configured. Click the Configuration<\/strong> button to access the configuration window.<\/p>\n

Select Backup Server<\/strong> item then click the\u00a0Add<\/strong> button to set the server.<\/p>\n

Type the DNS name or IP address<\/strong> of Veeam Backup Server and the credentials<\/strong> using the account previously specified. Click OK<\/strong> to confirm.<\/p>\n

The Backup Server is now configured and listed in the window.<\/p>\n

Select vCenter Servers<\/strong> item and click the Install<\/strong> button to set the vCenter Server used to manage the virtual infrastructure to backup.<\/p>\n

Select Notifications<\/strong> item and set the SMTP parameters<\/strong> to enable system notifications via email.<\/p>\n

The configuration is now complete. Data collected by the system are shown in the main screen reporting all the useful parameters to check the overall status<\/strong> of performed backups.<\/p>\n
