You need to launch some specific commands in order to complete the action successfully.<\/p>\n<p>Selecting the database file and using the <strong>delete command<\/strong> is the standard procedure used under Windows environment to remove files from the system.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"deletedbdomino02\" alt=\"deletedbdomino02\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/deletedbdomino02.jpg\" width=\"445\" height=\"379\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you try to delete a Lotus Domino database file, you may receive a<strong> warning message<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The action cant\u2019 be completed because the file is open in nserver.exe<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"deletedbdomino03\" alt=\"deletedbdomino03\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/deletedbdomino03.jpg\" width=\"486\" height=\"265\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You are not able to delete the database because is <strong>locked by Domino<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Procedure<\/h2>\n<p>To successfully delete a database, open<strong> Domino Administrator<\/strong> and go to <strong>Server &gt; Status &gt; Server Console<\/strong>, type in the <strong>Domino Command<\/strong> field the command:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: shell; gutter: true\">drop filename.nfs<\/pre>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"deletedbdomino04\" alt=\"deletedbdomino04\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/deletedbdomino04.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"272\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then type the command:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: shell; gutter: true\">dbcache flush<\/pre>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"margin: 0px auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; float: none; padding-top: 0px; border: 0px;\" title=\"deletedbdomino05\" alt=\"deletedbdomino05\" src=\"https:\/\/nolabnoparty.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/deletedbdomino05.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"272\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now if you try deleting the file once again, the system <strong>allows you to move the file<\/strong> to the Recycle Bin.
