The patch ESXi600-201605001 recently released by VMware breaks the Veeam Instant VM Recovery and all dependent features (SureBackup and U-AIR).
Anton Gostev reported this issue in the Veeam Community Forums and confirmed that Veeam already released a hotfix through the technical support for the current version only (9.0 Update 1).
If you have deployed the ESXi patch in your environment and Instant VM Recovery is a feature you rely on, go in touch with Veeam Support to get the fix.
It is also possible to fix the problem reverting to a previous version of ESXi, in this case backup your configuration data before making any changes.
