To backup Office 365 mailboxes of the Organizations configured in Veeam Backup for Office 365 4.0, you need to create a Backup Job specifying objects to include.
Before proceeding with the creation of the Backup Job, make sure you have already configured a Backup Repository where to store the backups.

Create a Backup Job in Veeam Backup for Office 365 4.0
To create a Backup Job, select first the Organization to protect then click Backup in the menu.
Enter a Name for the Backup Job and a Description then click Next.
If you want to backup only specific objects, select Back up the following objects option then click Add. Select object type to backup (Users in the example).
Select the accounts to backup then click Add.
Once the selection of the objects to backup has been completed, click Next.
If some objects shouldn't be processed by the backup, click Add and specify objects to exclude then click Next.
Select the Backup Proxy to use and the Backup Repository previously configured. Click Next.
Specify a schedule for the job and click Create to create the Backup Job.
In version 4.0 you have the option to exclude Contacts and Calendars from the backup. From main menu select General options.
Go to Folders tab and select Contacts and Calendars items. Click OK to save the configuration.
Run the Backup Job
When the job has been created, right click the Backup Job and select Start to start the job immediately.
Click the Backup Job to display the backup progress area.
Depending on the size of the objects to backup, after some minutes the backup completes successfully.
Check the backup content
Once the backup has been completed, right click the created Backup Job and select Explore latest Exchange state of... option to display the content of the processed backup.
If Veeam Backup for Office 365 and Veeam Backup & Replication are installed on the same server (this is possible from VBR Update 4), you may receive the following error:
To fix this issue, you need to install the latest Veeam Explorer from Veeam Backup for Office 365 package.
The backup content can now be accessed.
