During VeeamON 2014 event in Las Vegas, Veeam announced a new coming soon product named Veeam Endpoint Backup FREE.
Veeam Endpoint Backup FREE allow the users to backup Windows-based computers to internal/external HDDs, NAS shares and Veeam Backup Repositories.
The backup files are in the same VBK format as Veeam Backup & Replication and you can backup files, volumes or the entire computer at logon/logoff or scheduled. Backup process can be automatically paused if the system is busy selecting the Backup I/O Control.
The only available screenshot of new product is the backup job control panel and it's activity.
Some features of Veeam Endpoint Backup FREE will include the auto update notification, backup detection on external HDD and much more.
While the beta release should be available in November, the GA date is planned early 2015. Additional info can be found in the Veeam website.
