Vembu released the new BDRSuite v5.5.0 introducing the support for VMware vSphere v8, ConnectWise integration, and Google Cloud Storage as backup repository.
This new version is more stable and overall performance have been increased by 2x.

vSphere 8 Support
The new BDRSuite v5.5.0 fully supports VMware vSphere 8.
VMware VM template backup
It is now possible to backup vSphere templates used to create specific virtual machines for your production environment. During the configuration of the Backup Job, template objects can be selected for backup.
Google Cloud as Backup Repository
Google Cloud buckets can now be used as a backup repository for both BDR Backup Server and Offsite DR Server. This new feature allows to place a backup outside your production site complying the 3-2-1 backup rule.
ConnectWise integration
You can now integrate version 5.5.0 with ConnectWise to create service tickets in ConnectWise Manage for every backup, replication and restore activity. Due to this integration, MSP can now automate the ticketing and billing of services provided.
Google Workspace shared drive
BDRSuite v5.5.0 now supports the backup of shared drives in Google Workspace Organization.
Microsoft 365 archive mailbox
A new feature provided in version 5.5.0 allows to protect user emails in the archive mailbox of Microsoft 365.
Deduplication for Microsoft 365 User Mails
Leveraging the mail-level deduplication feature, bandwidth and storage utilization are now reduced while backing up Microsoft 365 user mailboxes.
