Vembu released the latest version of its software backup solution Vembu BDRSuite v5.6.0 U1 providing some new features and enhancements extending the capabilities of this product.
Vembu is an effective solution to protect Data Center/Private Cloud (VMware, Hyper-V, Windows, Linux, Applications and Databases), Public Cloud (AWS), SaaS (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and Endpoints (Windows, Mac).

Update 1 comes with some improvements and new features that can be summarized as follows:
Backup Proxy for VMware in Linux BDRSuite Backup Server
Backup proxy for VMware can now be used also in the Linux BDRSuite Backup Server making backup faster with optimized performance.
Perform Bare Metal Recovery directly using VHD in BDRSuite Virtual Drive
In the latest version the overall procedure has been simplified and now you can use the VHD mounted directly in the BDRSuite Virtual Drive as a backup data source. In the previous version you had to download and use the VHD to perform BMR.
Add Servers and Endpoints through AD/LDAP Server
Multiple Windows and Linux servers and endpoints (Windows, Linux and Mac) can now be added as data sources by importing machines from the AD/LDAP servers.
Backup data from a remote location
Through the use of an Agent it is now possible to manage centrally backup and restore machines (Windows, Linux, and Mac) located in any part of the world over WAN ensuring data protection and disaster recovery.

- Detailed Report for Files/Folders skipped from Backup.
- Add Servers and Endpoints as Data Sources without credentials.
