Nakivo released the new Nakivo Backup & Replication v10.10 providing the capability to perform a real time replication.
Although this new feature is still in beta and supports VMware platform only, Nakivo made a step forward in the development of its own backup software solution.

VMware real time replication (beta)
Nakivo provides the capability to create VMware replicas with near-zero data loss and downtime with RPOs and RTOs as low as 1 second.
This feature ensure the highest protection to your mission critical VMs reducing the data loss. If your organization suffers a ransomware attack or a disaster, the real time replication feature allows the administrators to restore VMs with zero downtime.
To take benefit of this capability, before creating the Real-time replication for VMware job you need to install the I/O filter storage providers on the source host.
Only one Real-time replication for VMware job of a single VM can be run at a time.

- Changes occurred to source VMware VMs are replicated in real time to replicated VMs.
- Quick failover in case of VM fails.
- RTO and RPO less than a second.
- Zero downtime for mission critical VMs during a disaster or ransomware attack.
Currently only VMware platform is supported.
Improvements
The manual installation procedure of the agent used to protect physical machines has been simplified.
