The new Nakivo Backup & Replication 10 provides the feature to backup to Wasabi object cloud storage and the full VMware vSphere 7.0 support.
After releasing version 9.4 only few weeks ago introducing the AWS S3 support, with this major release Nakivo immediately focused its efforts in developing new features that finally filled the gap with direct competitors.
What's new in Nakivo Backup & Replication 10
The set of available features have been extended in version 10 with some new capabilities:
New GUI
Nakivo Backup & Replication 10 provides a new and improved graphic interface that simplifies the navigation workflow and tasks can now be found in an easier and more intuitive way.
Support for vSphere 7
Version 10 provides full support for latest VMware vSphere 7.0.
Backup to Wasabi
Backup and Backup Copies (both VM and physical servers) can now be sent to Wasabi cloud object storage offering a scalable storage infrastructure. VMs, individual files and application objects can be easily restored when needed.
Wasabi provides storage capabilities S3-compliant with a speed up to 6x faster than Amazon S3 with a worthwhile pricing.
Linux Workstation backup
Linux workstations running Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 can now be processed with application-aware and incremental backups operations. Individual files and objects and the entire machine can be recovered directly from compressed and deduplicated backups.
File System Indexing
The new version is now able to create an index of the files and folders inside your VM backup simplifying the search of items to recover. Items to recover can be found and located through the Global Search feature.
Full P2V recovery
The new feature provides the capability to create virtual copies of physical machines ready for production environment. You can now perform physical machines to VMware VMs recovery from backups or physical to virtual migrations.
