Nakivo provides image-based, application-aware, incremental backup, replication and IT Monitoring.
Backup
- Agentless backup - backups are performed without installing additional software inside the VM to protect leveraging the VMware CBT technology.
- Image-based backup - Nakivo leverages snapshot technology to create a point-in-time copy of the VM to protect.
- Application-aware backups - ensure that Active Directory, MS-SQL, Exchange and Oracle databases remain consistent.
- Storage snapshots - Nakivo supports the backup of vSphere VMs directly from storage snapshots (supported storage are HPE 3PAR, Nimble Storage and other HPE devices).
- Immutable backups - backups can be protected against deletions, changes and overwrites taking benefit o data storage options in local Linux-based repositories and cloud storage (supported platforms Amazon S3, Wasabi, Backblaze B2, and Microsoft Azure).
- Flash VM Boot - VMs can be booted directly from backups to resume operations within minutes.
- Granular recovery - files and Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, or SQL Server items can be restored to the original or custom locations.
- Backup verification - backups can be verified sending reports with screenshots of test-recovered machines.
Replication
- Replication - Nakivo replication supports VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Real-Time Replication - leveraging Real-Time Replication feature you can achieve RPOs as low as 1 second.
- Replication from backup - replicas can be created directly from backups to reduce production load freeing up precious resources.
- EC2 Instance Replication - Amazon EC2 instance replicas can be created and maintained.
- Site Recovery - to orchestrate automated worflow for disaster recovery scenarios (recovering testing, planned failover, failback, migration).
- Application support - allows to create consistent replicas in applications and databases, such as Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory, and SQL Server.
IT Monitoring
- Available for VMware vSphere environment, IT Monitoring is a feature that allows the administrators to have a centralized overview of your virtual environment.
- Monitoring of CPU, RAM, and disk usage of hosts and VMs, datastores disk usage and historical data.
